- Is PriceTik free? Do I need an API key?
- Yes — the MCP server and price comparison are free, and no API key is needed for the open tools. An API key only unlocks tools that read or write your own PriceTik account state, like saved watches and bookings.
- Does PriceTik buy things for me?
- No. PriceTik finds the best available price and hands you a verified deep link straight to the retailer or provider. You complete the purchase at the source — we never store payment details or check out on your behalf.
- How are prices and results ranked?
- Results are ordered by relevance to what you asked for, using live prices pulled from the source. PriceTik earns affiliate commission on completed purchases, but that has no influence on what appears or in what order. There is no paid placement — more on how that works.
- Can I track a price and get alerted when it drops?
- Yes. Create an account to save price watches across shopping and travel, and get notified when a price hits your target. Your agent can manage watches for you too, once you connect your account.
